GVTC is the source of hope and knowledge number one for some members of our community, opening the doors to a new experience of personal empowerment.
Today, the GVTC has become a family space for all those who have needed our services. We have done everything possible so that whoever visits us feels at home, learning a range of skills, very difficult to learn in other places, where the learning experience is limited to those who can follow the teacher's step.
GVTC is the result of the hard work done by the founders of EqualiTech, the non-profit organization that sponsors us. Motivated to resolve the imminent need in the Old Town Goleta community, the founders of EqualiTech, led by Danny Fitzgibbons, made our center open on Tuesday, April 11, 2016.
Since then, GVTC has developed a set of actions aimed at mitigating the digital abyss that exists in the community and that mainly affects minority groups such as Latino immigrants and the adult population.

The Goleta Valley Tech Center offers the community computer classes, free computer access and Wi-Fi (provided by Cox Communications). Currently open 5 days a week (Monday to Friday from 2:00 pm to 6:30 pm). The center has 10 computers with 22 "monitors, headphones, a laser printer, and Wi-Fi technology, community members can also bring their own devices to connect to Wi-Fi, and we also offer free printing.
Goleta Valley Tech Center opened its doors in April 2017 and is the flagship Community Tech Center of local nonprofit EqualiTech.
EqualiTech's mission is to expand technology access and improve computer literacy in the community by providing free computer centers staffed by experienced technical professionals.

Goleta Valley Tech Center is located in Room 5A of the Goleta Valley Community Center.
